How to lose alcohol cravings

The first thing I recommend if you really want to lose your alcohol craving is “really want it” I mean if you want to know if you really mean it, ask your self the question in every situation were you usually get cravings and see if you still want to not take a drink anymore.

Drinking is a bit messed up because when you suspect that you may have a problem with it,  it is usually to late to do anything about it.  It’s kind of like it needs to take it’s destructive course.  You need to be 100% positive that you are ready to quit, stop or lose your cravings if you want any kind of a fighting chance.

Alcohol is not a toy, if you think you have a problem with it, I suggest you stay clear from it, or it WILL KICK YOUR ASS!!  One of the biggest problems with alcohol is that it is always under estimated and it always wins any fight it’s in.

So my suggestion to anybody that really wants to lose the recurring alcohol craving that might be become a bit of a problem is, read about what you are becoming, grab a book on the consequences of being a alcoholic and the nightmare you will be living soon.  I think this will open your eyes a little and get you ready for where your headed.  At least you will be better prepared and you will have a bit of a head start. Good luck

Party time!

What is Party time?  What does it really mean or what should it mean?   I use to think that Party time meant “get drunk” and it did, for many years as a matter of fact anything in my life meant, time to get drunk.

I always remember when i started the AA program ,they said that I would like different things when i got sober and it was true, I do.  for example “Party Time” was what my life was all about and today I no longer even care about it or even think about party time.  I am a very lucky person today!

How I got like this?  I had Faith and Desire.  It is possible!

Sober for days

I have been sober for 1650 days and to me “Miller Time” is a joke!  I love to be sober.  I have full control of my life and I do not need “Miller Time” any more after work to calm my nerves or to celebrate.  What I want, I do!  No one or nothing dictate my life at all.  It is truly a wonderful feeling.

How do I know I have a drinking problem.

I didn’t realize I had a drinking problem till it was to late, and even when I figured it out, I was under it’s spell and could not do anything about it for 13 years.  “Don’t play with fire” should have been “Don’t play with booze, or you will get destroyed!”

If you think you have a drinking problem and say to yourself “this wont happen to me” you are probably already hooked and you will loose allot in your life.  Sorry to say that it is probably to late for you to not be in a hole lot of trouble.  The only way for you to stop drinking is to be “honestly” done with alcohol, till then you’re ways out of this problem are limited and not good at all.

I know the chance of  you understanding the seriousness of the poison you are playing with is only about 1% of you.  Just remember this, a good indicator that will tell you if you’re screwed with alcoholism or not is this, If you think you have a drinking problem and you tell yourself  this “I’LL NEVER GET THAT BAD” you can be sure that you’re screwed!!!  ciao
