Party time!

What is Party time?  What does it really mean or what should it mean?   I use to think that Party time meant “get drunk” and it did, for many years as a matter of fact anything in my life meant, time to get drunk.

I always remember when i started the AA program ,they said that I would like different things when i got sober and it was true, I do.  for example “Party Time” was what my life was all about and today I no longer even care about it or even think about party time.  I am a very lucky person today!

How I got like this?  I had Faith and Desire.  It is possible!

Sober for days

I have been sober for 1650 days and to me “Miller Time” is a joke!  I love to be sober.  I have full control of my life and I do not need “Miller Time” any more after work to calm my nerves or to celebrate.  What I want, I do!  No one or nothing dictate my life at all.  It is truly a wonderful feeling.

Stinky Thinking

nature

I have learned that I have to train myself to be very quick when it comes to stinky thinking.  I have to be absolutely sure that alcohol is the worst answer to my problems when I start thinking about quiting on life or just plain thinking that I’m indestructible.

What I am trying to say is that as drinkers we don’t get a second to think about drinking because you will convince yourself in a second that drinking might be a good idea.

Watch yourself closely when it comes to stinky thinking but don’t worry to much about how you are going to stay sober because if you truly want it, that comes alone and without your help.
